The day will last 10-4pm and you will bring along a basic mechanical sewing machine and coloured threads. I will provide all other materials and you will create your very own piece of textile art with step by step instructions. This workshop is suitable for beginners and those with little to no previous experience all you need to be able to do is use your own basic sewing machine.

Community Projects
I can arrange to meet and discuss your own community project and have wide experience of working alongside communities and enabling all people to be involved in some element of the creative process. Please get in touch if you have an idea you wish to discuss
Groups
I teach alongside colleagues at the Wetherby Machine Embroidery Group. We meet each month for a day of sewing.
We explore everything from freestanding embroidery, printing, dying, couching, felting and ribbon work to digital software, manipulating designs and creating ‘in the hoop’ designs.
We also help each other with maintenance and solving problems with our machines.
We are a friendly group always happy to welcome new members
